One major disadvantage of puush is that files get deleted after some time (3-6 months).
Our filehosting site doesn't do that, but lacks the easy-to-use autoupload of puush's client software.

But, as the title suggests, there is a way to combine the best of both sites easily.
This guide explains how you can set up ShareX, a screen capturing program to automatically upload captures to our site.

    1. Download ShareX
ShareX is available for Windows here. If you are running Linux, you will have to compile the program yourself.
    2. After downloading, install the program just like you would do with any other software.
    3. Then start the program and click on "Task settings". You may change the settings in whichever way you want, this is how I set them up:

    4. After you are done editing these settings, hover over "Destinations" and click on "Destination settings".
Once the window popped up, go to "Custom uploaders" (right at the bottom) > Add, then enter the following values:
Then click on each "Test" button to verify that the values are working.
    5. Hover over each "uploader" entry in the "Destinations" section and set them to the newly defined uploader.
      Example: [IMG]
    6. Before using the application, you should also take a look at the Application settings and change the values if necessary.
    7. (optional) If you want to use the same hotkeys as in puush, click on Hotkey settings and set the following keys:

    8. You are done.

If anything is unclear, feel free to post in this topic.

Or you could get the puush link from your clipboard (if you have that enabled) and paste it into the file name box on upload, as shown here:

Windows may prompt you for your puush login details, which is completely normal.

I see the screen recorder option, is it possible to record things as well with this?

    Gifs work like a charm.

Regular screen recording too, just needs dropbox.

Regular screen recording is done in WebM format I believe. Doesn't record sound mix by default, so you'll have to add that as a microphone if you want to record audio.

P.S. Please don't use this to record things which require audio, but use a real tool, like Dxtory or even OBS.

Yes, I know. I meant you have to sign in for it to work.

If you don't want to enter the settings manually, import them from this URL: http://files.f-o-g.eu/4ddd01 and then set the FoG custom uploader as your uploader for screenshots, text files or whatever you want.

Here's a new URL you can import your Custom Uploader settings from, this will produce the new Secure URLs: http://files.f-o-g.eu/c478df

If you just want to edit your old Custom Uploader add the following record into the "Arguments" section on the Custom Uploaders setting page: "secure" => "on" (screenshot of the settings: http://files.f-o-g.eu/87240f )

    Enjoy.

    Updated
    - Changed fourth step to directly access the JSON element instead of using a regex
    - Updated JSON file with settings to reflect the above changes

    Update:
The uploader is now only available through https. Updated the relevant screenshot and JSON config, also moved it over to a Gist for easy updating.
