I have decided to switch to a PC again after 5 years (laptops are just not made for gaming) and am in need of a good gaming/allrounder keyboard.
It should survive long-ish gaming sessions but also a lot of general use (due to me coding on plugins/configs etc).

Absolute maximum price is 110€, would prefer it to be a mechnical one, but normal ones are fine too (as long as they live for longer than a year).

What switch color do you prefer (if you know anything about cherryMX switches)?

Brown would be best I guess, maybe black.

Steelseries 6gv2 uses black switches, is also one of the higher regarded keyboards in the CSGO scene. Amazon sells it for $90,- which is about €82,-

If you can find somewhere you can try it out first, I highly suggest doing so. Gotta get a feel for that keyboard before using it.

Also, make sure you're not getting the version with red switches (6gv2 red) if you choose it.

Paying over 100 for a keyboard is insane.

Though you know, it's not, amazing quality on most higher price keyboards, insanity is the people buying RGB (????) keyboards with over like 17 billion backlighting color schemes or whatever it is for like 400€

EDIT; simple keyboards around 100 will give you great quality switches, backlighting to use in the dark, numerous extra keys and ways to lock certain keys, and thank god for 6/N - key rollover

My G15v2 was word €100 back then and lasted 7 years before it died so effectively it will roughly cost you €15 a year. Pretty bang for your buck if you ask me :D

I think I am going to stick with the CM one, good quality for a fair price.
    Thanks everyone!

I'm using the Steelseries 6gv2, but I got it sponsored. I prolly wouldn't have spent 80-100€ for a keyboard myself.
    can recommend it tho :)

Mate of me had two CM keyboards, dunno which ones exactly. Had some issues with buttons not reproducing.

Did you already order one? If so, how is it.

Already got the CM one, works fine so far.
The only thing is.. I have to get used to desktop keyboards again, after using laptop ones for 5 years.

    understandable.

I've used laptops for the last 7 years, finally got a desktop pc again and I do not regret it. Fuck mobility as long as your PC has enough horse powers to run Games like The Witcher 3 :p
